As a former federal prosecutor and judge, Jane has spent her career focused on justice and safety, but she also understands safety is personal. She will work to support law enforcement while building trust in neighborhoods so families feel secure in their own communities.
Jane knows how frustrating it is when your daily drive is rough, your car takes damage from potholes, or sidewalks feel unsafe for kids, seniors, and neighbors just trying to get around. She will prioritize real, lasting repairs and smarter infrastructure planning so Kansas City streets and sidewalks are safer, smoother, and more reliable for everyday life.
Having served as Director of Housing for Kansas City and worked extensively in housing law, Jane understands how housing costs affect real families. She will work to expand access to stable, affordable housing so seniors and working families can stay in the communities they call home.
Jane deeply respects the firefighters and EMS who show up in emergencies without hesitation. She will ensure they have the equipment, staffing, and support they need to do their jobs safely and effectively, protecting people across Kansas City.
